The Beatles, All You Need Is Love – Soundwave Art by Alex Patterson.
Music and art are 2 of the biggest loves and inspirations in my life. Creating art from music perfectly combines both. The soundwave is converted into a visual wave and then manipulated in photoshop in various ways to create my soundwave art. The beauty of working this way is that the music directly inspires where the artwork may end up.
I can create original personalised soundwave art from any song or any audio file. Just visit my project shop site mono wave art.
Alternatively, if you want a song created in a unique style, just get in touch and i’ll happily sort something out for you. info@monowaveart.co.uk

Always liked this song by Al Green. Love how it was used in the soundtrack of one of my favourite movies (Pulp Fiction) too.

The Stone Roses, in my view are one of the all time greatest bands. Creating this art was a great excuse to listen to one of my all time favourite albums (The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses). Had the pleasure of seeing them live last year at Heaton Park, Manchester. 100,000 people in a field enjoying great music is an experience i’ll never forget. In the above artwork, for the background, I have used the album cover art created by ex guitarist of The Stone Roses, John Squire. Squire is now a great artist, I’d definitely reccomend checking out his body of work.

The anatomy of a mash up. Cameron Adams, aka “The Man in Blue”, mashed up, edited and remixed some of his favourite Daft Punk songs. Definitive Daft Punk reveals the entire structure of Daft Punk’s track list: the cutting, layering, levels and equalisation of 23 different songs.
By dividing up the sound data for each song and computing its appearance in realtime, the visualisation combines a circular waveform of each of the songs concurrently being played with an audio map timeline at the bottom showing each song color-coded.
I couldn’t believe my eye holes recently when I recieved a message in my comments telling me that my blog had been nominated for a prestigious Liebster award. Possibly the first of many accolades, but i’ll try to refrain from getting ahead of myself. It’s not very often you feel noticed in the gigantic world of the internet so even the smallest bit of recognition is more than appreciated.
I was nominated by the fantastic and talented‘found this, painted that.’(If you aren’t following it already, you’re missing out). Go and follow it now before continuing….. I’ll wait.
…
…
…
Followed it? fantastic, then we can continue.
The acceptance of my Liebster award comes with a few little hoops to jump through. That is par for the course with everything in life though. hmmm
Ok, here are the rules:
1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog and link back to them in your post. Hmmm, I think I already did that but they deserve a second link in case you skipped the bit where I told you to follow them already. Thankyou ‘found this, painted that.’keep up the good work.
2. Answer the 11 questions from the nominator, list 11 random facts about yourself and create 11 questions for your nominees. See below for this stuff.
3. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 11 blogs who you feel deserve to be noticed and leave a comment on their blog letting them know they have been chosen. Ok, I’ll have to do that over the next week or so.
4. Copy and Paste the blog award on your blog.
(Copied and pasted this whole section and award image came along for the ride Yay!) I’ve also put it on my main banner. I’m so proud. Note: (These are the “rules” but please feel free to do as you wish. ‘Pantatooine’ Starwars art is created using a 40 x40 grid of 1600 (one thousand six hundred – Phew!!) swatches each. The swatch choice for each square is an average colour of that section of the photograph or scene. Close up each square is simply a Pantone (Pantatooine) swatch, From a distance, the whole image is revealed in detail.
The simple stylized minimalist illustrations are created in Adobe Illustrator. My concept was to restrain the images to a square (intended to go on cushions etc.) and use flat colours. No gradients or shading allowed.

The Angel of the North divides the local residents. Some love it as an icon of the nort east, while others see it as an unsightly blot on the landscape. Personally I like it.

Fog on the Tyne inspired by a recent conversation with a friend – Cheers Brendan
The bridges over the Tyne are iconic, stunning, pictoresque and well worth a visit. The above image is the view from the Gateshead side of the High Level bridge. You can make out the beautiful shape of the Tyne bridge as well as its bright red neighbour, the Swing Bridge.
