Using 3D Studio Max I have had the pleasure of being involved in every aspect of opening up new retail outlets. Each store designed for TYI opened up new and interesting chalenges. For instance, the store in arndale centre, manchester was pretty much a goldfish bowl (All glass walls). This is not ideal for an art store where wall space is king.

In the end, the store looked great with signage mounted onto an internal bulkhead, organised work area and rolling video at the front of the store.

Unfortunately this store is no longer open but the memory of merchandising the store prior to opening will never be forgotten. The throw a six to start lift system that only allows certain floors and security doors that quickly lock before you can get stock through them were a highlight.

Where’s Mummy? was taken at Malaga airport. I loved how Father and Daughter were gazing out onto the runways. The light streaming through the giant windows creates an amazing atmosphere. The Plane through the window is actually one of the scale model planes that hang from the airport ceilings.

The contrast of light and dark reminded me a bit of a starship window looking out into space. The fact that the Father and daughter also look a bit like C3PO and R2D2 may be something to do with this too.

Camp Castle, Bamburgh Castle

Someone kindly parked this camper van infront of Bamburgh castle. Should have got a better angle but i still love it. It was a gorgeous sunny day and its a lovely castle but if you do visit make sure you take cash. The castle doesn’t accept card payments and the only cash point in the whole place is in a pub about 20 minutes walk away. Bizzare.

Three photographs here taken by myself.

Centre: Time for reflection, taken at malaga airport. The mirror like surfaces in the airport allow for some amazing photographs. This was taken looking back at the queue of people yet to make it through security.

Left: Wheres Mummy, also taken at Malaga airport. I loved how Father and Daughter were gazing out onto the runways. The light streaming through the giant windows creates an amazing atmosphere. The Plane through the window is actually one of the scale model planes that hang from the airport ceilings.

Right: Too Dear. Taken at Knowlesly Safari Park near Liverpool. These two animals posed nicely for this photo. I just love how they seem to mimic each other by grazing in unison. Great safari park but if you do go through the monkey enclosure just make sure its not going to rain later. Driving along motorway in the rain with little to no visibility is terrifying. (The nearest 2 services were sold out of wipers too.)

Exploring the amazing city of Granada, Spain, you can, like me stuble upon many amazing and unusual places. From old caves, winding back streets and deserted hospitals. After taking in a bottle of cervaza and some tapas in a local bar (Granada is one of the few remaining places that does real tapas. 1 euro for a beer and a snack. good value!) i headed for the hills. Above the city i found myself amongst a free and stunning gallery of urban art. The juxtapose between the new art style and the old traditional city was awe inspiring.
